Having worked together on projects since 1997 Mark Hackett and Alastair Hall established Hackett+Hall Architects in Summer 2003 following their success as Joint Winners in the Lyric Theatre International Design Competition. Mark and Alastair completed their studies at the Mackintosh School of Architecture, Glasgow and Cambridge University respectively having first met at Queen's University Belfast. They worked for a period in Berlin and Dublin before returning to Belfast. Both partners have worked on a broad range of projects from large public buildings to small residential work. The practice treats every project as a distinct set of circumstances and work closely with the client to find a particular and contemporary solution for each site and set of requirements.
